Fire in Southwestern Virginia burns 500 acres
A wild forest fire, believed to be caused by a lightening strike has destroyed an area of over 500 acres in Southwestern Virginia. Firefighters from all over the country are fighting hard to control the spread of the fire. The fire was slowed down to a great extent due to overnight moderate showers. However, it is estimated that it might take atleast 2 days to fully contain the fire from further spreading. The extent of the loss caused by this fire is yet to be analysed.
